9/26/2002 - The Beowulf cluster we're working on, known as Megatron. It was set up using WareWulf and lam-mpi when this photo was taken. The big server isn't part of the cluster; it's the new cypress.cs.fiu.edu receiving a burn in test. The cluster will have over twenty nodes when completed and will be set up in ECS-212.

8/21/2002 - I found this board in a pile of old stuff cleaned out of a lab. It's an inmos transputer board, with some of the modules missing. In the late 80's, inmos manufactured these processors, intended for use in massively parallel systems. They used their own programming language called Occam.

8/20/2002 - I finally have my own office! I took some pictures of it, and one of my desk, to document moving in. Since I took the picture I've added shelves to the wall in this picture.
