These are stripped P3-450's with Intel network cards, whose bioses have been re-flashed to boot completely diskless off the master node, which is sitting under the desk to the right. The thin cable running from the master node to the rack actually connects to the UPS, and allows us to remotely power cycle all the slave nodes at once. |
