2/19/2003 - A fiber patch panel and.. A Cisco VG248 box. This thing allows you to connect up to 48 old-fashioned analog telephones to a Voice-over-IP (VoIP) network. The only downside is the lines don't support pulse dialing, so you can't use rotary phones on them. Awww.

2/19/2003 - From top to bottom: B350T 16 port switch (boring), Cisco 7206VXR which is our border router, old abandoned Cisco Cat that was formerly used by Engineering, and a much nicer Cisco Cat used by the VoIP phone system in the building.

12/2/2002 - Our WareWulf cluster, "starscream", currently under construction. These are stripped P3-450's with Intel network cards, whose bioses have been re-flashed to boot completely diskless off the master node, which is sitting under the desk to the right. The thin cable running from the master node to the rack actually connects to the UPS, and allows us to remotely power cycle all the slave nodes at once.
